Also led sponsorship and product fulfillment initiatives for more than 35 PGA of America events annually. David’s background also includes four years as Director of Sales & Marketing for the PGA of America, Georgia Section.

Over the last 16 years Terry has worked his way up through the ranks at several prestigious golf clubs in the Atlanta area. During this time, he gained the leadership skills and technical ability need to produce top quality golf courses with ideal playing conditions. His turf and business degrees have helped him navigate today’s ever evolving golf climate. Through streamlining cultural practices while remaining focused on the details he has optimized the balance between budget and final product. This, as well as staying current with the industries newest technology and chemistry has allowed him to adapt to and overcome situations just as unique as the diverse array of properties he has worked at. 

As a strategic and entrepreneurial leader, Mike is skilled at identifying and capitalizing on opportunities that drive exponential growth during times of economic expansion and contraction. I graduated from The University of Georgia in 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in Turfgrass Management.  My first job out of college was at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta as Second Assistant Superintendent.  In my 3 years there I was part of a major renovation three Tour Championships. I moved on to be First Assistant Superintendent at Governors Towne Club in Acworth for two years before getting my first superintendent job at Ashton Hills Golf Club in Covington.  After 5 years there I moved on to The Oaks Course,  also in Covington for 3 years before coming to Jennings Mill Country Club.

Riley Clingerman worked dilligently as the Assistant Superintendent at Jennings Mill Country Club and has now moved to the Superintendent position at Lane Creek.

Doug grew up in Michigan where he developed a love for the outdoors. His first exposure to the golf industry came at the age of 15 at Grand Traverse Golf Resort where he worked through his first year of college gaining experience in golf course operations, maintenance and construction before relocating with family to West Palm Beach, Florida. After the move South he gained extensive knowledge working at nationally ranked facilities including; Mayacoo Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, Peachtree Golf Club in Atlanta and TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, which currently hosts The players Championship.

After graduating from Lake City Community College (Gateway College) with a degree in Golf Course Operations he secured his first superintendent’s position at Vidalia Country Club where he performed  extensive repair to the existing 9 hole course while overseeing the finish grading, irrigation installation and subsequent planting/grow in of the second nine. His next position would bring him to Pawley’s Island in South Carolina as the superintendent of The River Club and Litchfield Country Club providing experience in high-end resort management. After his stint in South Carolina he was offered the Superintendents position at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons North Carolina. Tanglewood is a 1200 acre, multifaceted, public resort. The park board had reached an agreement with The P.G.A. Tour and Reynolds Tobacco to host “The Vantage Championship” (largest purse on the senior tour) for 5 years, ultimately hosting 15 televised events. During his 21 year stay at Tanglewood he obtained the designation of “Certified Golf Course Superintendent” by The Golf Course Superintendent’s Association of America and earned a B.A. in Business Administration and Ethics from John Wesley University in High Point North Carolina. While serving in various positions with increased responsibility, including; Golf Course Superintendent, Director of Golf, Grounds and Facilities Maintenance, Director of Operations, Assistant General Manager and ultimately held the General Managers position for 9 years.

Since returning to the Atlanta area he has served as the Assistant Superintendent at Olde Atlanta Golf Club and White Water Creek Country Club, finally landing at The Country Club of Gwinnett, inheriting an incredible crew of individuals.

Born in Chattanooga, Tn.  I have 32 years in the golf business as a head golf professional and golf course superintendent.  Graduated from Rutgers turf program in 2006 after 9 years of working on the golf side of operations. I have worked as superintendent at Saint Petersburg CC and then at Valleybrook CC in Hixson Tn.  I reside in Hixson and enjoy playing golf and fishing in my past time.  Married with no children, to my wife Patrica.
